Show Stoppers With Cards

Contents

# Title
1

A method for performing clean, fast double or triple lifts directly from a squared deck — no get-set or thumbcounting required, enabling consecutive double-lifts in routines.

3

Four spectators each select a card. The magician finds each by apparently random cuts — yet at the climax, the cards on the table prove to be the four Aces.

5

Two spectators each think of a card at a number — one odd, one even, both under 20. After dealing into two pockets, the magician produces both thought-of cards.

6

The four Aces are shuffled into the pack. Four indicator cards are turned up; their values are used to deal four piles. An Ace is found at the bottom of each.

8

A method for cutting a small packet from the top of the deck using just the fingernail, fast and natural enough to repeat consistently with the same count each time.

9

The four Aces are placed in different parts of the pack and shuffled. The magician cuts the deck four times — and each cut reveals an Ace.

9

Three cards are shown, one of which appears to be the spectator's selection. The magician produces a fourth card as the chosen one — and the three "matches" prove indifferent.

11

A move for displaying a fan of cards while concealing extra cards within it, useful when a trick requires a hidden surplus to be carried behind the visible count.

12

The magician places three cards face-down; the spectator picks three cards face-up from his own pack. When the magician's cards are revealed, all three pairs match.

13

An unwanted card keeps returning among a small packet. Purely sleight of hand with standard cards.

16

Three cards form a "magician between two assistants" tableau in the pack. The magician card visibly escapes the deck — and a real jigger of liquid is produced as a kicker.
