1	The Whistle Theodore Annemann	Trick
Two spectators each select a card and return it to the deck. After a whistle and a ribbon-spread, the chosen card appears face-up in the middle. Repeated for the second selection.
3	The Mystic Twelve Audley V. Walsh	Trick
A spectator removes any twelve cards, pockets some, looks at the bottom of the rest, and deals two rows of six. The magician names both the pocketed count and the noted card.
4	Card of The Gods Dai Vernon	Trick
A spectator cuts off a packet and merely thinks of one card in it. After mixing and shuffling, the magician counts down and produces the thought-of card.
6	The Divining Pasteboard S. Leo Horowitz	Trick
Four cards are selected and one is mentally chosen. After all four are returned to the deck, a face-up "diviner" card buried in the pack lies next to the thought-of selection.
8	Two Cards in Fear Jacob Daley	Trick
Two cards are selected and shuffled back. The deck is wrapped in newspaper and stabbed with two crossed knives — one chosen card is found beside each blade.

Twenty spectators each take a card and a number. Blindfolded, the magician calls each number in turn and produces the matching card from his pocket.
12	Mathematical Black Jacks Henry Christ	Trick
The two black Jacks are shuffled into the deck. Two spectators name numbers; the difference between the two numbers leads the dealing to land on both Jacks.
14	Three Predictions G. W. Hunter	Trick
A spectator deals three heaps and pockets cards. The magician predicts how many cards remain in each spot, and finally names the last card on the table.
15	Mephisto's Prediction Charles Jordan	Trick
A spectator inserts the Joker into the deck and notes the card next to it. After dealing into heaps and reassembling, the noted card is found at a position predicted in advance.
16	Like Seeks Like Walter Gibson	Trick
Six cards alternating red and black are transferred bottom to top one at a time. On the second show the colors have inexplicably separated into two groups of three.
18	A Card in Hand Theodore Annemann	Trick
A card is selected and returned. The magician hands the spectator another card to push into the deck — but the card the spectator is holding has become his selection.
19	Double Reverse Walter Gibson	Trick
Spectator and magician each pick a card from their half-pack and bury each other's. When the deck is reassembled and spread, both selections appear face-up.
21	Stop When Ready Henry Christ	Trick
A selected card is shuffled into the deck. The spectator names a number under twenty; cards are dealt face-up to that number, and the next card down is his selection.
23	Twentieth Century Cards Theodore Annemann	Trick
A selected card is punched and returned to the deck. Two indifferent cards, also punched, are threaded on a ribbon. Under a handkerchief, the chosen card appears between them.

A face-up Three Card Monte routine. Jack and two spot cards are openly shown over and over, yet the spectator can never correctly point to the Jack.
26	Mental Stud Henry Christ	Trick
Four spectators each peek at a card from a five-card poker hand. After a stud-style deal, the magician points to each spectator's card — including the hole cards.
29	The Ribbon That Made Good Orville Meyer	Trick
A selected card is returned. The magician fastens a ribbon to a wrong card (the Joker) and inserts it in the deck. The spectator pulls the ribbon — and out comes his selection.
