Fair Exchange

Two envelopes are shown, each containing the pieces of a playing card jigsaw puzzle. A race is held to assemble the card face down. The race is repeated with the cards face up, but this time the neither puzzle can be solved. Each person has one piece that doesn't fit until they exchange the pieces.
